GOOD WEEK

HelloFresh SE (HLFFF +12.29%) is up this week.  Together with its subsidiaries, they deliver meal kit solutions to prepare home-cooked meals using its recipes. The company offers premium meals, double portions, and others, as well as add-ons, such as soups, snacks, fruit boxes, desserts, ready-to-eat meals, and seasonal boxes.

Central Garden & Pet Company (CENT +6.36%) is likely performing well due to strong demand in the pet and gardening industries, a diverse product portfolio, and positive earnings growth, all contributing to its outperformance in the market. These factors have attracted investor interest and driven CENT's stock performance.

BAD WEEK

Planet Fitness (PLNT -15.90%) announced CEO Chris Rondeau's departure, prompting a sharp stock drop. Interim CEO Craig Benson was appointed, causing market concern amid the company's leadership transition. Rondeau's decade-long tenure saw substantial growth in membership and store expansion.

Life Time Group Holdings (LTH -8.36%) has made notable strides in its financial performance, particularly in its Return on Capital Employed (ROCE). While it has recently reported a loss, there are encouraging signs of improvement.

WHAT ELSE HAPPENED

The S&P 500 experienced a rare event as all 11 sectors saw losses, something not seen since December. This downturn was influenced by chip designer Arm, which initially showed promise with morning gains but ended lower despite a strong stock-market debut. Adobe also added to the market's challenges with disappointing earnings, causing its shares to be among the notable losers in the S&P 500.

Despite the challenging week for stocks, the price of oil continued its upward trajectory, marking its highest closing price for Brent crude. On the other hand, Treasury bonds remained relatively stable. The experience of dealing with financial stress, economic downturns, and the need for government intervention are common elements with the Lehman Brothers' collapse, a pivotal event that triggered the global financial crisis in 2008.
